Sigtuna Municipality is a place with great diversity. Here, vibrant countryside, small towns, and an international airport coexist. A rich cultural heritage and cultural diversity. A proud history and significant future plans. Perhaps that is why the drive to grow, change, and develop is so strong. It is also why it is so exciting to work here. With us, you become part of a pleasant and unpretentious culture where we support each other and make the most of each other's knowledge, differences, and experiences. The work is often varied, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful. Welcome!
The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.
At Ekillaskolan, we emphasize every student's right to receive education at a level adapted to them. Ekillaskolan should be a place where all students and staff feel comfortable and secure, and where students leave school with self-esteem and confidence – prepared for further studies and a good place in adult society. We will find the paths and working methods that lead to more and more students passing all subjects when they leave school in year 9.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a team player who, like us, is passionate about creating a safe and developing learning environment for our students?
As a subject teacher at Ekillaskolan, you will be part of a team where collaboration around all our students for their best interest is the focus.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching both individually and in close collaboration with colleagues. You are expected – like your colleagues – to take an active role in developing both yourself and the faculty you are part of. The role also includes mentorship. You will be responsible for teaching English together with your colleagues in the subject and teaching grades 7-9 in French.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed teacher qualified to teach grades 7-9 in the subjects English and French.
To thrive in this role, we see that you enjoy working and learning together with your colleagues. You take an active role in your team and drive the work forward together with your colleagues. You are a clear and attentive leader who places students' knowledge development and safety at the center.
You easily build relationships with your students as well as with colleagues and guardians. You thrive in a changing environment while valuing structure and can plan and organize your work well.
At Ekillaskolan, you will have supportive colleagues around you, and together you will work to develop the operations, always with the students' best interest in mind. You take the initiative in social contexts, step forward, and easily create new relationships, and you adapt and find solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal and solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies.
Warm welcome with your application!
OTHER
You can easily apply by attaching your CV and answering some selection questions related to this position. However, we ask you not to attach a cover letter.
